Patterns are designs that show the same thing over and over. When shapes or colors are repeated, we see a pattern. Some patterns are made by people, and some can be seen in the world around us. Some patterns are made with colors and lines. Other patterns are made with words or numbers or sounds. What patterns can you see and hear?

Have you seen the all the colors of the rainbow? When do we see a rainbow in the sky? What does it tell us about the weather? Bright pretty colors can cheer us up, when we are feeling unhappy. The class in this story used rainbow colors and dress-up costumes to have fun.

In this family, there were three children who each had a small accident at home. Nobody wanted to take the blame, so their parents played a funny trick on them. They showed the children that they couldn't share treats unless they were helpful and honest.

Do you forget things sometimes? Have you ever forgotten your hat? Do you ever forget to take your lunch to school? What else do you forget?

The animals in this story were very hungry. The Three Billy Goats Gruff wanted to cross over a bridge to eat some delicious grass. But an ugly, hungry troll lived under the bridge. How could the goats get over the bridge?

You know that chickens hatch out of eggs. Lots of other baby animals hatch out of eggs too. Birds and fish lay eggs to hatch their babies. What other animals hatch out of eggs?

It is very important to learn to swim. You need to know how to swim so that you will be safe in the water. Then you will be able to go in boats and swim with your friends.

We are living in the Space Age. What do we know about space? The Earth is our planet. It is in space with many other planets. Scientists are still discovering new planets. People have always seen the sun, the moon, and millions of stars. But now space is being explored. We can learn about the size of the planets and what it is like to travel in space.

This story is about some bad pirates who were very greedy. They always wanted more money and more food. Some clever animals thought of a good way to teach them a lesson. What do you think the animals did to the greedy pirates?
