    [synopsis] => Léon Bakst est né en 1866 et mort en 1924 en Russie. Peintre, illustrateur, designer de costumes et de décors, Bakst attacha son nom à la grande aventure des Ballets Russes. Il rejoint au début du XXe siècle, Diaghilev et Bernois dans la présentation d'une nouvelle scénographie faite de couleurs, d'imaginaire, qui révolutionna le monde du ballet par sa modernité et son exotisme. Il participa au journal World of art. Jean Cocteau écrivit un très joli livre sur Bakst dans les années 1910, Un Certain Bakst.
