Description
"This guide is a sampling of wild animals in civilization observed during the artists' 6-year exploration in the field. It is not an exhaustive study. It is confined to the North American continent, which includes what are commonly referred to as the North American and Central American Regions. This book is organized by the type of animal coverings - what we see when we look at wild animals in civilization - rather than standard taxonomic schema. However, the groupings echo typical taxonomic arrangements to a large degree. Locations are provided, along with some pertinent natural history particulars about each animal. Exact species or subspecies were often difficult to determine with certainty because of the manner in which some of the wild animals were represented. In those cases, the artists often reverted to genera, and in rare instances to families or subfamilies." -- How To Use This Book
