Description
Enchanted Land features twenty years of one photographer's attempt to record an intangible feeling, to make permanent an ephemeral presence, to capture the essence of Taos. Lenny Foster's body of work represents the timeless and the timeworn, the past and the present, and both love and loss. Some images appear otherworldly, while others are immediately recognizable and reminiscent of a place many fortunate people call home. The drama, serenity, and emotion present in these photographs have the ability to take your breath away and, in some instances, break your heart. Foster's work demonstrates a range of skills, interests, and influences from other artists who were equally captivated by the ethereal quality of Taos. However, these images are not documentary, nor are they derivative of the work of others. Rather, they act as a visual love poem - one that evolves with each reading and grows better with time.
