Description
In the 1960s and '70s, Cesar Chavez and farmworker activists joined forces with musicians and artists to create "La Causa," a movement for justice. This documentary explores their alliance through first-person accounts, highlighting the essential role of music and art in building the farmworkers' movement. It combines rare archival footage with interviews, shedding light on key moments in Chavez's life, the emergence of Chicano art, and the use of nonviolent action and art in response to oppression.
