A young woman discovers a puzzling messsage written in a series of codes and ancient languages. When she takes it to the University of Pittsburgh to seek out Jonathan Payne and David Jones for help decipering it, their meeting is interrupted by an assassin who was sent to kill everyone who knows about the document. When the prophetic writings of 16th century apothecary Nostradamus begin to ring alarming true, the two find themselves in a life-or-death race across the world to stop those using the French seer's predictions for their own dark purposes.
