Neil Young returns to the sound that shaped his 1972 album Harvest twenty years after its release. Like Harvest, Harvest Moon has a country style with a personal feel. Along with the title track, the album includes the single Unknown Legend.

Neil Young and Crazy Horse release their first new album together since 2012's Psychedelic Pill. It includes many songs that Young has been performing during his recent concerts, including Rainbow of Colors.
