Raised by a wealthy, idiosyncratic and alcoholic mother, Amory Blaine is arrogant and lacking in proper social etiquette which he eventually has to learn. En route from the Midwest to Princeton University, he experiences flirtations with some predatory young women and a chance at friendship with some intellectual young men. His romantic relationship ended when his soul-mate rejected him to marry a wealthier young man.

From Season 1, Episode 38. Episode first aired Jul 1, 1953. A couple of rich law school pals who've gotten rich in business makes Brad feel he's cheated Joan out of the high life. He decides to become a business executive with a chicken soup company, despite Joan's warnings that he's cut out for that work. From Season 2, Episode 2. Episode first aired Oct 21, 1953. Joan tries to pull a fast one over on Brad by passing off her new dress as one she's had for years. She hadn't planned on a visit from a friend with a lie detector machine.

From Season 3, Episode 18. Episode first aired Jan 26, 1955. During a visit to the eye doctor, Joan is given the incorrect eye drops. This leads to some unusual stunts in her visit to a bowling alley.

From Season 1, Episode 22. Episode first aired Mar 11, 1953. Joan mails a letter using a Mozambique stamp that Brad just purchased for $350. Her husband blows his top, leading Joan to dream she's on trial for being a "goof" with Brad as judge and prosecutor. He's singing a different tune when the stamp turns out to be counterfeit and the check comes back in the mail.

A party line is no party for our confusion-attracting comedienne. Next-door neighbor Mrs. Tobin shares Joan's displeasures, as well as her telephone line, and the two women begin battling away for right to Mr. Bell's little invention.

Bills for fender repairs to the Stevens auto go so high they lead to a "You did it" "No you did it" quarrel between Brad and Joan.

Joan finishes up her match-making activities of last week (in "Joan Plays Cupid") by staging Sally and Wally's wedding in her home.
